This update of guidelines for neonatal parenteral nutrition prescription of the Portuguese Neonatal Society is divided into two parts. The Part II, herein addressed, reviews recommendations for the prescription of micronutrients, using either an individualized prescription with hospital pharmacy compounding or commercial ready-to-use solutions, and PN recommendations in particular clinical conditions. Levels of evidence and recommendation grades used in the updated guidelines of ESPGHAN/ESPEN/ESPR/CSPEM published in 2018 are adopted in this document.
